Welcome to the Snowball Esports OPL Power Rankings for Split 2.
After a great weekend of games in the opening weekend of the OPL, here’s your weekly dose of Power Rankings. Our panel this split consists of Snowball’s own Andrew Wray, Reece Perry, Callum Matthews and Swifty. New for power rankings this split is the Community slot. These are made up of 7 OPL fan’s personal power rankings, averaged together.

The Dire Wolves hold on to first place after a thrilling victory over ORDER. Though the Chiefs are hot on their heels after a very strong showing over Legacy.
MAMMOTH could consider themselves unlucky to be placed behind legacy but they get a huge chance to prove me wrong next week. Tectonic remain above the Bombers thanks to some mishaps against Avant.

Chiefs retain top spot, the thoroughly convincing win is more than enough to eclipse the Dire Wolves’ narrow win over a stronger opponent. MAMMOTH were strong, but not yet strong enough to topple ORDER – strength of schedule has a lot more of a say here for ORDER’s narrow loss than it does for MMM’s mostly strong win.
Avant were a mixed bag. They are the team furthest from their ceiling in my mind which is meant as a compliment though I’ll admit it reads rather backhandedly.
Tectonic rise off the bottom of the rankings for – I believe – the first time ever for my rankings and they were quietly good in parts. I wasn’t thrilled with Shok, but Papryze was good enough that if Value is as good as I expect him to be, they can threaten. We haven’t realistically been able to say that in over a year. All I’ll say about the Bombers is that I haven’t given up on them. That match was ugly, but the well is not yet dry.

Bombers fall to seventh after a loss to MAMMOTH. With Bombers staying together over the off season, I had anticipated to see further growth, which was supported by their growth over Split 1. However this did not come to fruition seeing AV and MAMMOTH over take them.
MAMMOTH, week one’s wildcard came out of the gate swinging and with little experience playing together are rewarded by rising into fifth. While looking considerably better than Legacy, strength of schedule means they won’t climb any higher in this weeks rankings.

Not much of a change this week.
For me, Biopanther exceeded my expectations up against ORDER, and bumps the Dire Wolves up a spot. Only other change is down the bottom end, with DarkSide very much impressing me in AV’s series against TTC. TTC taking them to 3 games earns them the spot over the Bombers.
