Ground Zero have added Tyson “pan1k” Missak to their roster in favour of Chase “extinct” Dickson.
After spending some time on the sidelines streaming, pan1k adds a strong aim presence to a lineup with veteran presence, including Mohammed “Moeycq” Tizani and Callum “BURNRUOk” Henderson.
Pan1k joins Ground Zero after spending six months as the leader of an Avant Gaming lineup that has since retooled. With speculation rife as to the makeup of the new roster, it will lead to an enticing matchup when pan1k faces his old squad.
The challenge moving forward for Ground Zero will be to give this roster a chance to settle. They have periodically retooled their roster while teetering within touching distance of the top of the scene. It may not be smooth sailing, especially at the start, but I think patience will see the proof in the pudding of this squad.
Pan1k comes in with a chance to focus on his strong suit – putting up numbers – without the pressures of leading a squad as he had on Avant. He’s handy in most situations, and GZ will be hoping he flourishes when they let him off the chain.
The new GZ has shown early promise having already started 1-1 in MDL action, playing a strong Chiefs lineup very competitively before comfortably handling their second match over the remnants of Breakaway – a roster comprised of the shakeup from the latest AUNZ CS:GO roster shuffle.
